What forms of payment are accepted?
At this time, Virgin Voyages accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Currencies accepted are USD, CAD and GBP, so some Sailors may incur foreign transaction fees by their credit card company.
What is included in my voyage?
Staying hydrated is a must for well-being at sea (and we prefer our Sailors feel their best), so enjoy any Basic Bevvies on us including water (still and sparkling, of course), non-pressed juice, soda, sachet tea and drip coffee if you need a boost. Since WiFi is as essential as water to us, count that in, too. Entertainment experiences, also included. Plus, we'll cover restaurant dining, tips and group fitness classes, too!
How much are the drink packages?
What's a holiday without a few choice cocktails? Your sailing includes our basic bevvies and, while we don't have traditional drink packages, our drink offerings are very reasonably priced.
Does Virgin Voyages offer travel protection?
Yes, every Sailor has the opportunity to choose Voyage Protection when booking. If you decide you want to add Voyage Protection after booking, please contact Sailor Services or your travel agent to arrange it.
What documents are required to sail?
While our Sailors are free to voyage at will, some global rules for travel still apply. US Citizens need a valid passport with an expiration date at least 6 months after the voyage end date. Non-US citizens with a valid passport will require the necessary visa (if they apply) to travel back into the US after the voyage has completed. Please visit https://travel.state.gov for more information.
What are the travel requirements to visit Cuba?
To experience everything Havana has to offer, each Sailor is required to have:
- Valid passport
- Signed affidavit
- A tourist visa
But don't stress, we can assist with all of this! The affidavit will be served up in your "Ready to Sail" documents and is easy to complete. Tourist visas can be purchased through us before or during your voyage, or it will be covered in the cost of our Shore Things. Cuban-born US Citizens may have some added requirements. Please review the entry requirements to ensure you obtain the proper documentation.
How much deposit is required per booking?
Deposits are 20% of your voyage fare (ticket price only, not taxes and fees), and they are due at the time of booking. However, if you're booking less than 120 days prior to your voyage start date, full voyage fare would be required.
When is my final payment due?
Final payment is due 120 days prior to your voyage start date - or at time of booking within 120 days.
What time should I fly into Miami for my voyage?
We recommend booking a flight into MIA with an arrival time no later than 2 PM.
What's the earliest recommended flight departure after my voyage?
We recommend booking a flight out of MIA with a departure time no earlier than 12 PM.
I cannot travel on my voyage. Could someone take my place?
Yes, names on reservations can be changed up to 48 hours before your voyage - at no additional cost (excluding air implications). Please reach out to our Sailor Services Crew or your travel agent to arrange to have someone sail in your place.
Are you able to accommodate my dietary requests and/or food allergies?
Our expansive food and beverage offerings should be able to accommodate most dietary needs and requests, but be sure to ask our Sailor Services Crew before you sail regarding any specific requests or allergy concerns. Please note, we are NOT an allergen-free kitchen.
What is the address of the cruise terminal?
Our terminal address at PortMiami is 1015 N America Way, Miami, FL 33132 Terminal F.
What is Virgin Voyages' cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy was created to provide a better experience for our Sailors. Here's what you need to know:
- You have the most flexibility outside of 120 days prior to your voyage. If you're booking at this time, you have a 7-day grace period to request a full refund on your deposit and any other payments made. Refunds will be issued to your original form of payment.
- After the grace period (but still before the 120-day mark), you can receive a full refund on any payments, not including your deposit. For your deposit, you can request a Future Voyage Credit at this time.
- Between 119 and 45 days, any funds paid will be converted to Future Voyage Credit, good to use on any voyage 1 year from the original voyage start date. Sweet deal, huh?
- Within 44 days of your voyage, all funds paid are final. But you do have the option to send a mate in your place up to 48 hours before your voyage, if you really can't sail.
Have more questions? No worries. Our Sailor Services Crew or your travel agent can help walk you through the process. As always, we recommend you purchase our Voyage Protection.
How much money do I have to pay at the time of booking?
More than 120 days prior to your departure date, you'll need to pay a 20% deposit to secure your booking (but don't forget, you can also hold a booking for 24 hours without any money down up until 45 days). After that, the full voyage fare is due at the time of booking. If you need to change your travel plans after this, you still have plenty of options for how you can use this credit. Just take a look at our cancellation policy or give our Sailor Services Crew or your travel agent a shout for more details.
When can I make reservations for dining, spa and entertainment?
All Sailors will have the ability to book ship experiences directly from our Sailor App or through a travel agent starting 45 days before departure.
Will I be able to exchange cash for local currency on board?
The ship will have an ATM on board. However, any currency exchanges will need to be conducted on land before embarking.

Can I purchase a transfer from airport/hotel to PortMiami?
While we encourage Sailors to book alternative transportation in advance to ensure a smooth trip, Virgin Voyages is not currently providing these accommodations.
Is there a topless/nude area on board?
Yes! If you're looking to get rid of those tan lines, we'll have a designated area for Sailors to hang out with everything their momma gave 'em (from the waist up that is).
What type of entertainment can I expect on my voyage?
Every sailing will feature a festival of choice in entertainment made up of bespoke experiences created exclusively for Virgin Voyages. From shows to parties, music and all types of happenings. On our ships, you'll never be bored, pinky promise.
May I bring Cuban cigars back onboard?
If you wish to bring them back into the US, remember these important deets to make sure it's all smooth sailing. All Cuban cigars must be declared. Sailors can bring back $800 worth of Cuban cigars, or 100 Cuban cigars (whichever is less) without paying a duty. More than $800 will trigger a 4% duty levied by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Is food delivery available on board?
A few delicious bites without leaving your seat, or wherever you happen to be at the moment? Say no more. Check out the Sailor App (coming soon) for all the info about onboard food and drink delivery.
Is there a doctor on board
You bet. We'll have a licensed physician and nurses on board at all times while sailing.
What are the methods of payment on board?
